Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This document is an informational template and does not replace professional legal advice. Review it with a lawyer before treating it as binding for your operation, and confirm it accurately reflects the providers/data you actually use in production.
1. What data we collect
Account data: email, name, and avatar (via direct sign-up or Google OAuth sign-in), managed by our authentication and database provider.
Service usage data: YouTube channels you connect, search niches, generated content (ideas, titles, scripts, thumbnails, video), credit consumption, and generation history.
Language preference: stored in a cookie (viralgen_lang) and your browser's local storage — not an advertising tracking cookie.
Payment data: processed directly by our payment provider (currently transitioning to ePayco); we do not store card numbers on our servers.
We do not use advertising tracking pixels (Meta Pixel) or Google Analytics at this time. If that changes, we will update this section before enabling them.
2. How we use your data
- Operate and maintain your account and subscription.
- Generate content with AI on your behalf, sending your input and public YouTube data to our AI providers (text, voice, and image generation) solely to produce the result you request.
- Send transactional emails (confirmations, expiration reminders, password recovery).
- Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Improve the Service in aggregate, anonymized form.
3. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with categories of providers necessary to operate the Service:
- Authentication and database — to create and manage your account.
- AI providers — text generation, voice narration, and image generation from your input.
- YouTube Data API — public video data for trend analysis.
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure — to run the Service and store files.
- Transactional email provider — to send you account notifications.
- Payment processor — to handle subscriptions and purchases.
Each category of provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
4. Retention and deletion
Content generations expire automatically after 30 days unless you save them to your library. If your subscription lapses and is not renewed within the grace period, your generations and channels are automatically deleted. You can request full deletion of your account and associated data by writing to yeizermarrugo@gmail.com.
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the California Consumer Privacy Act, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of the sale of data (we do not sell data, so this already applies by default). Contact us to exercise these rights.
6. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit (HTTPS), and separation of service credentials to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; if we detect a breach affecting you, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via a notice in the Service.
